Community Concepts, Inc., in partnership with the State of Maine, City of Lewiston, and community partners, opened the Maine Resiliency Center. The Center is located at 184 Main Street in Lewiston, with direct access via the catwalk on the third floor of the parking garage behind the building at 26 Chapel Street. The Center serves as a resource hub for anyone impacted by the shootings at Just-in-Time Recreation and Schemengees Bar and Grille. This includes anyone present at the shootings, family, friends, and loved ones, first responders and medical personnel, and any member of the larger community who feels impacted by these events.

The Center is open weekdays with walk-in hours from 12-5pm. The Center can be reached by phone at 207-515-3930.

Gov. Mills’ administration launched a webpage to serve as a clearinghouse of information of ways to support victims and families in Lewiston, organizations involved in the community and health care response, and anyone who might be struggling with mental health during this stressful time.

Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) maintains a webpage listing behavioral health resources, as well as supports for children and families.

Maine DHHS also launched an online form for communities and organizations to request special behavioral health support, such as on-site mental health clinics, or assistance tailored for specific communities. The form is open to any organization in Maine and offers connections to mental health counseling, crisis and trauma support, victim support, school-based support, employee assistance, and psychological first aid.
