Transitions

Whether you are going through a lifestyle transition, are a new Mainer or veteran, or just looking for a fresh start, 211 can connect you with programs and services designed to help you successfully establish personal and professional stability within your community.

If you are a refugee or new American, 211 can help you find housing, English language and literacy classes, clothing, food service programs, and job training and employment.

For veterans, 211 offers information on home loans, job training, employment assistance and career counseling, veterans benefits, childcare, and financial advice and planning. We can connect you and your loved ones with support groups that help manage the emotional challenges associated with military service. Our confidential services can help you find resources to combat homelessness or locate food service programs in your area.

If you are struggling with addiction, need assistance in safely leaving a domestic violence situation, or suffering from PTSD, 211 can provide you information and referrals to connect you to the appropriate resources.
