Help Keep Maine Warm

On Thursday, January 18, NEWS CENTER Maine will be holding their annual Project Heat Telethon. The telethon raises money for the Keep ME Warm Fund, Maine’s statewide emergency heating assistance fund.

Volunteers are needed to answer phones and process payments in Portland and in Bangor during the telethon. Shifts for both phone banks are:

  • 5:00am – 9:00am (busy shift!)
  • 10:00am – 12:00 noon
  • 12:00 noon – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 4:00pm
  • 4:30pm – 7:45pm (busy shift!)

Last year, Project Heat raised enough money to warm more than 580 homes in Maine.

If you are interested in volunteering, email Kim Charland at Kimberly.Charland@wcsh6.com.
