In addition to other referrals, 211 Specialists can refer individuals to resources in their area that assist with financial heating needs. On a limited basis, through the Keep ME Warm Fund, 211 Maine is able to provide financial assistance to low income families in emergencies.
While 211 encourages people to reach out if they are in need of heating assistance funds, 211 Maine is not able to assist in expediting fuel deliveries or help individuals locate new fuel vendors. Individuals in need of new vendors should contact other vendors in their area to ask if they are accepting new clients.
